Business Updates from I2D
Summer is definitely over and it’s back to work as usual. Inspired 2 Design has much to announce and many new projects brewing as people and companies get back to the business of marketing to make money!
Here’s the basic run-down of what’s new in town and with I2D:
Community news & business events:
- The Ball Ground Business Association is hosting a free movie night at Calvin Farmer Park on Saturday, August 29th. There’s more info on their website.
- The Woodstock Community Business Association (WCBA) is hosting a Fun Day in the Park on November 7th. They’re looking for vendors to sponsor tables at the family friendly event. More info here. I2D had an opportunity to visit the WCBA lunch meeting this week. What a great group of people! The group is very well organized, professional, and the meeting featured a dynamic speaker (and good food!).
- The Cherokee Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Business Expo at the Cherokee Parks & Rec Annex in Woodstock from 1pm until 6pm. Several I2D clients are sponsoring booths this year. Info here.
- The 5 Keys to Business Success FREE seminar has been scheduled for October 13th at the Comfort Suites in Woodstock. New business and prospective business owners are encouraged to attend. Register online.

Amazingly in this economy, some savy business owners are thriving! We’re thrilled to announce that three of our clients have recently announced big growth this month:
- Funky Monkey, Upscale Children’s Consignment added a second location in Hickory Flat. If you liked their original store in Bridgemill, you’ll LOVE the HF location. If you haven’t been, you’ve got to go and see what Susanna and her girls have done with the new store by the Kroger on Hwy 140 and Hickory Road.
- Fun Finds & Designs, Home decor consignment in Canton has expanded already after just a few months in business. The store has added over 2,000 square feet of retail showroom, and until you see it, you wouldn’t believe that you didn’t just walk into an upscale boutique! Other business news:
The Southeast Cherokee Business Network welcomed 2 new business members: TradeBank and CantonGeorgiaDirectory.com. A dynamic networking and referral meeting was held today before a full house at the Frosty Frog Creamery in Hickory Flat. If you are interested in becoming a part of a referral group that’s like a business family, check their website to see if your category is available, and then contact us.
The Chamber also held a fantastic After Hours event yesterday at the Woodstock branch of Cherokee Bank. The bank was a great host! There was a big turnout and the food was outstanding! I had an opportunity to speak to Mr. Don Stevens, Chairman of the Board at the bank, and he was just as warm and friendly as could be. Visit their site.

New website projects just under way at I2D:
- Canton-Cherokee Triad/SALT – Seniors and Law Enforcement working together. New group, new website.
- Cartersville Family Church – redesign to coincide with the church’s new building.
- The HOPE Center – supporter site for the Woodstock organization.
We’re thrilled to be working with these fine organizations to create or enhance their online marketing efforts.
